     โดยเครื่อง MT จะทำให้ชิ้นงานเป็นแม่เหล็กก่อนแล้วจึง apply ผงแม่เหล็กที่มีความละเอียดสูงลงไปบนชิ้นงาน หากชิ้นงานมีรอยแตกร้าว ผงแม่เหล็กจะจับตัวบริเวณรอยแตก ทำให้เห็นรอยแตกของชิ้นงานได้อย่างง่ายดายภายใต้แสง Black Light
